Over the river and through the woods...

To Papa's house we go! Randy's grandparents have both passed away, but their cute little cabin in the woods is still owned by the family, and we have found that it is a fun retreat for us:)

Papa and Nana were meticulous about their yard and gardens. They had plants, pathways, trees, flowers, fountains and ornaments in just the right spots. Even today, several years after both of them being gone, it still maintains a manicured look.
Over the Memorial day weekend we were able to go up with Randy's parents and help do a bit of cleanup. This is the pile that we made in the effort...
Since it was memorial day, we made sure to place flags throughout the part of the garden that Nana and Papa's ashes were spread. They looked great;)
The boys also got a big kick out of being able to shoot bb guns. Here are their unlucky victims...
I have to say, it is quite a sight watching a six year old cock, aim and shoot a bb gun as well as Mathias does. He more often than not hits his target on the first try. Crazy! Garron is quite the marksman too. You'd think they had some Texan in them or something:)

Seeing those bottles and cans brings back memories. Did you take the boys up the hill to see where the old building foundation is? You guys are so lucky.
